About Us

Mari Parker MSN, FNP-C, CUNP

 

Mari received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia. She started working in the operating room (OR) at Alexandria Hospital. Her vast OR experience includes her position as the Urological Surgery Coordinator at University of Connecticut Medical Center John Dempsey Hospital, OR charge nurse at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

In 2005, Mari relocated back to Virginia. She specialized in urological surgery in the Inova Loudoun Hospital operating room and became the da Vinci Robotic Surgery Program Coordinator while starting the Robotic Surgery Program. While working at Inova Loudoun Hospital, she pursued a Master's degree and graduated with honors from the Shenandoah University Family Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s in Science in Nursing.

Mari has her certification as a Urologic Nurse Practitioner and served on the CBUNA (Certification Board for Urology Nurses and Associates) as the President and as a member of the Nurse Practitioner Practice Analysis Task Force. She also served as the Advanced Practice Provider representative on the board of Loudoun Medical Group.

Mari is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Northern Virginia chapter of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates, the American Urological Association, and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. 

She is published having contributed a chapter to the Manual of Men's Health, A Practice Guide for APRNs and PAs.
